New Zealand vs India 4th T20I, NZ vs IND Highlights
Another thrilling win for India, taking the lead to 4-0. Well, you have got to feel for the Kiwis. But in an angered manner. You just cannot be losing games from a winning position, that too, twice in a row. They should have finished the game off before the Super Over but they couldn’t and neither could they hit the lengths right in the decider. Tough pill to swallow if you are the captain or the coach. South Africa are considered as chokers but the Kiwis are quickly snatching that tag away.

Another roller-coaster of a match. India were in tatters at 88/6, only to see an unlikely hero in Shardul Thakur. Yes, Mr. Thakur. The spotlight would have been on Manish Pandey for his half century but had Thakur not given him enough support and played a cameo, India might have made just 130.
In the 2000s, there developed a word called Australianism. It means that whatever be the situation, they always manage to win. Now, it is time to coin a new word – Indianism. Irrespective of the situation, they always find ways to fight back. This Virat Kohli-led team is a terrific one, prevailing in all formats and conditions, just awaiting the tag of World Champions, that’s all. If World Cups and championships could be won by consistency, India would have been champions ever since Virat Kohli became the captain.
Another game has passed and we have survived the excitement of Super Over once again. It was a heart-pulsating thriller and once more the Men in Blue prevailed to make it 4-0. The action now shifts to Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui where the hosts would be trying to avoid the embarrassment of a clean sweep.
Victorious Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, says that one thing he has learnt from the last two games is not to lose patience, stay calm and believe till the end. Adds that one cannot ask for back-to-back exciting T20Is and relishes the character of the team to bounce back. On him coming out to open in the Super Over, Kohli says that the initial chat was to get Rahul and Samson to open but then adds that Rahul suggested that Kohli should come out to bat, due to more experience. Virat then lauds Rahul’s first two shots in the Super Over which nearly sealed the win. On the changes in this game, Kohli wants Samson to back himself, praises Sundar for his show and Saini, for continuing to do what he always does – bowl with pace. Is happy with the headspace that the players are in at the moment.
New Zealand captain, Tim Southee, admits that it is another tough loss for the Kiwis. On him bowling the Super Over twice in 2 games, Southee says that he has got a very inexperienced bowling attack, so he had to take the lead. On how can the Black Caps find ways to win, Tim says that they need to somehow find that way. Stresses that they need to kill the match when they have it in the bag and not let the opposition get any sniff.
SHARDUL THAKUR HAS BEEN NAMED THE MAN OF THE MATCH. Starts by saying that this is what they play for, nail-biting finishes and is happy to contribute. Tells that after the last win they learnt you should never lose hope. Adds that he picked a wicket in the final over and that changed the course of the game a bit. Mentions that it was a good contribution from him with the bat and it was important to stretch that partnership with Manish Pandey. Feels that he should have stayed till the end and would like to do that in the next match.
MSDhoni has been left out of BCCI’s annual player retainership list

He makes no mistake.
Ball 2: Tim Southee to KL Rahul, FOUR! Just 4 more needed now. Bang! Rahul is in full force here. Southee over-corrects his line and length. Delivers a short ball around middle and leg, KL rides the bounce and pulls it down to long leg for a cracking boundary.
Ball 1: Tim Southee to KL Rahul, SIX! What a way to start! Rahul smokes it into the crowd! What a poor delivery by Southee. Serves it on the plate for the batsman. Fullish and around off, Rahul clears his front leg and launches it over mid-wicket. 8 needed off 5 balls.
