Fakhar Zaman 193 runs from 155 balls Highlights
Fakhar Zaman run-out on 193 runs from 155 balls including 18 fours and 10 sixes while chasing 342 runs. What a knock under pressure with no support from other end.
Pakistan are an unpredictable team for a reason. The chase looked done and dusted once they lost Babar and Rizwan in the same over as despite the stands that followed, the tourists never looked in the hunt. The real show started when Fakhar Zaman completed his hundred and had Shaheen Afridi for company.

That was the moment when he decided to cut loose and have a shot at the target. We witnessed insane hitting from him after that and it was combined with some smart batting as well. In the process, he also took the record for the highest individual score batting second in ODIs. Towards the end though, the target turned out to be a bit too much for Fakhar to scale down alone.
South Africa find themselves on the right side of the result. Once again Anrich Nortje was the best bowler on show as he ran amok in his first spell and picked three wickets in no time. His first over witnessed the dismissals of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, two of the in-form batters for Pakistan and everyone thought that he has put the chase to bed with the twin blow.
The other South African bowlers were also decent for most parts but then they all took a beating towards the end. The Wandered is always a tough venue to defend and South Africa will be relieved to cross the line and level the series.
South Africa will be thanking David Miller for his late onslaught. Their batting overall was brilliant but the late push by Killer Miller handed them a few extra runs and those runs turned out to be decisive in a way. Earlier in the day, the Proteas put on a clinical batting show with their top order standing up and stringing together a lot of partnerships. A total of 341 looked enough at the midway stage but the way Fakhar Zaman exploded certainly scared the hosts.
Pakistan has won 10 out of 17 ODIs before this game when Fakhar Zaman scored 50+
Babar Azam “The innings from Fakhar Zaman is one the best innings I have seen in my life. It was an outstanding innings and he deserves a lot of credit.
